Sweet Future at Honey Farm

2026 marks one of the most significant milestones in the history of Sunshine Coast Wanderers and for football across the Sunshine Coast. After a number of years of advocacy, planning, consultation, and collaboration, we’re proud to see a vision that began as an idea become a reality.

Committee members have been collaborating positively with the Sunshine Coast Council in establishing a user agreement for a permanent home for Sunshine Coast Wanderers within what’s emerging as one of Queensland’s premier regional football facilities.

This represents thousands of volunteer hours, countless meetings, strategic planning sessions, and a shared commitment between Sunshine Coast Wanderers, Sunshine Coast Council and Football Queensland, who recognised the need for a long-term football infrastructure solution for our region.

As President of Sunshine Coast Wanderers, I’d like to acknowledge the significant investment already made by Sunshine Coast Council in delivering quality playing fields, lighting, and supporting infrastructure.

Council’s commitment has helped lay the foundations for what will become an amazing regional facility serving sport, footballers, families, and the broader community for generations to come.

As said by Sunshine Coast Mayor, Rosanna Natoli, this is all about looking forward.

“This will become the regional home of football for the Sunshine Coast, and it’s here at Honey Farm Road Sports Precinct. How exciting is that?”

“It’s all about increasing participation in sport and keeping our community active, fit, and connected,” she said.
