Sunshine Coast Wanderers women players Piper Vidulich, Rebekah Horsey, and Teyl Danger have reached over 100 appearances each for our club — a first for the Wanderers in the NPLW.
Piper first began her journey at Wanderers as a MiniRoo in 2008 before representing the black and orange of Buderim Wanderers, where she developed into an exciting player who is accomplished in both defence and attack.
Piper joined the Sunshine Coast Wanderers in 2019, when the club received the licence for the Women’s NPL, and has not looked back since. After 120 games, the number six is heavily involved with our club both on and off the pitch, and her commitment to the success of Wanderers Football Club is deeply appreciated.
Sunshine Coast Wanderers Women’s captain, Rebekah, joined the Wanderers after stints with A-League sides Canberra United and Brisbane Roar, where she gained the valuable experience she uses to lead our crop of talented women’s players today. After 125 games with us, Bek is often described as a role model for younger players at the club, and her calm, consistent, and courageous leadership skills have seen her become an integral part of Wanderers’ identity.
Teyl has been a part of the Wanderers program since 2018. After a break in 2020, she came back in 2021 to be on our current NPLW women’s side. In 2018, Teyl played for the U17s, who went through the season undefeated, taking out the Premiership and Championship in the club’s first year of the NPL!
After 137 games, Teyl’s development over the years has made her an integral part of our women’s team.
All three of the girls can hold their heads high with immense pride. They’re an inspiration to the younger generation of footballers, and we’re grateful to have them at our club. Here’s to many more!
