Sunshine Coast Wanderers FC is now accepting Player Expressions of Interest for its 2027 FQ Academy and Development Programs.
Our Talent Identification Program provides a structured approach to identifying, assessing, monitoring and developing players with the potential to progress within the Sunshine Coast Wanderers pathway.
Expressions of Interest are open for:
• FQ Academy Program — Under 9 to Under 18 boys and girls
• Development Program — Under 9 to Under 13 boys and girlsAll submissions will be individually reviewed to help us assess each player’s current level, potential and most appropriate development pathway. Assessments may consider technical ability, game understanding, decision-making, attitude, coachability and capacity for further development.
Selected players may be invited to attend a screening session, targeted trial or Academy training environment. Players may also be monitored through club and school football, competitions, development programs and other identified opportunities.
The Development Program provides additional opportunities for players to access an advanced player-development environment while remaining connected to the club’s ongoing identification and monitoring process.
Submitting an Expression of Interest does not guarantee an invitation to trial, assessment or selection. Parents are encouraged to provide as much relevant information as possible, including playing history, representative experience, academy training, references and video footage.
Following our review, we will contact families to advise them of the outcome, outline the next steps or request further information where required.
